Sony PlayStation 5 India next restock on July 12; Vijay Sales confirms availability

Sony Playstation 5 has been restocked more than once in the past month. Now, the next PlayStation 5 console restock is slated for July 12, according to several vendors. Those who missed a chance to get their hands on the PS5 in May and June, will start again on July 12. Vijay sales has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will be available for pre-order on its website on July 12. The company also said that the PlayStation 5 Disc Edition and Digital Edition will go up for pre-order on July 12. Keep in mind that Sony doesn’t comment on PlayStation 5 restockings and prefers to let retailers announce it themselves. Since Vijay Sales’ announcement is the first official confirmation, we can expect other retailers like Amazon, Flipkart, Sony Center, Reliance Digital, and more to also announce restocking in the coming days.

It is not known how many stores would get PS5 stock and what the quantities are. According to an IGN report, Sony asked its retail partners not to impose flat rates on customers. On the contrary, they should also give them the choice of buying the PS5 as is, without any additional games or accessories. During the restocking of the PS5 in June 2021, there were complaints of retailers forcing additional purchases from customers with their PS5. It was previously reported that Sony may be launching its colorful PS5 controllers in India with the next restocking, but that doesn’t appear to be happening.

The last Sony PlayStation 5 restock was in India on June 23. At the time, the PlayStation 5 console was available at several retailers including Amazon, Sony Center, Games The Shop, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales. The PlayStation 5 costs Rs 49,990 for the standard version with a disc player and Rs 39,990 for the digital edition.
